It has been about a month since the Mindef attachment, its been fun and tiring at the same time. We've been visiting alot of places within Mindef, just to familiarize with the organisation etc, like an orientation. And while doing that, we do tasks like essays(in Malay), reading, reports, presentations, on a weekly basis. We're staying at apartments, so we kinda do laundry, a little cooking, etc, just to get ourselves used to staying away from our parents. Hopefully, the attachment helps when I'm overseas. The downside about staying at the apartments is that, since I can't drive yet, I haven't been able to see my friends etc., ahah social isolation.
Before the attachment, I was doing my driving lessons, korean lessons and Apho(Physics Olympiad) tuitions, but I had to drop most of them because of the tight schedule. During the first week, it was the first time I've ever felt so exhausted, physically and mentally. It needed some getting used to but now things are pretty stable. So, I've dropped my korean lessons, and only do driving lessons once a week(my instructor is going mental) and I've only attended 40% of the APho classes(I'm so dead). I've been trying to drop the APho because I'll be missing alot during the attachment when if I go to Shanghai, plus I've missed so many lessons, I don't even know what I'm studying, but things are complicated :P. So currently, I'm pretty much studying on my own, almost a year's worth of university physics packed into 3 weeks. I hope I won't go crazy and grow white hairs. If I pull this off, I'll be the happiest boy on earth. Hopefully, I'll be leaving to Shanghai, China for the APho, and hopefully I won't embarass Brunei too much. Sigh*
Good news is, after the long, dreadful wait, I've finally heard from my US universities, all on the same day! Such coincidence. Out of the three, I've been accepted by two, happy to say that I've been offered a place by the one I really want to go. UPenn. Pray hard that all goes well and I'll be going there and that theres not going to be any funny twists. Actually, I'm having the dilemma of choosing between my desired course of study or desired place of study. Because UPenn doesn't offer my course(aeronautical engineering). However, Upenn offers other courses that I'm also interested in, and I could take minors to suit my interests. Hopefully it will be approved X_X.
So I won't be going to UK, sigh* I'll be all alone in US. Uwaaa... but I guess it's for the better. Hey, you guys could come visit US, and I can visit you guys/gals. So again, pray that all goes well and I go to US.
I guess thats all for now. Wish me luck on my APho. I'll TRY get some of you guys some stuffs, but try not to expect too much, its not like im going there for a holiday. Haha. For the lazy bums, I've highlighted the important stuffs.
