London - Manchester

Kawaii

After a painstacking 5 hour journey from London to Manchester, I'm finally in the comforts of my aunt's place. I have to say, the trip felt a lot less than 5 hours but that's because of this amazing lady that I bumped into. She is the coolest Japanese grandma I have ever met (not that I've met any before her) Haha. But, seriously!

She almost missed the train. A few seconds after stepping on board, the train departed the station. She sat opposite to me since the seat wasn't occupied. Not long later, she started asking me questions. Her name's Taeko Morikawa and although her command of English wasn't excellent, we could still understand each other.

She's 68 years old and has 3 children and 3 granchildren. Her eldest grandson is my age and is fulfilling his dreams of being a professional hair stylist. AND AND.. she just graduated from college. How cool is that? Her age isn't holding her back at all. I really admire her bravery - travelling to a foreign country on her own! If I was her, I'd be scared out of my wits! It's so weird how we bonded so quickly. Within hours, she literally told me her life story.

She's so healthy as well. If I looked like her when I'm 68, I'd be over the moon. Because of engineering works, we had to change trains a couple of times and when we were waiting she took the opportunity to exercise! Haha. Taeko is so bubbly. She took a picture of me on the train so I thought I'd return the favour. Look at the picture, she even posed with the peace sign! All in all, this was one intriguing train ride. I'll be in Manchester for a week. That means no more cooking and washing the dishes, what more can I ask for? Hehe

Good luck to Jances, Hui, Jingo and Hazim for their upcoming exams. You guys will do great!! I shall be nice and not rub in it your faces that my exams has ended. Tee hee hee. Toodles, for now.

p/s - To my wonderful, amazing, caring, lovable, huggable brother who bought me my A n F clothes from Florida. You know I love you =)

Goodluck for your final exam ming hui!

Neways, I went to Primark the other day, to get myself some summer goodies. I am too lazy to wear the clothes (summer dress, white top, basic black tee) I bought just for a picture so here's one of a pair of pumps i bought.

I hate being a size 4 and a HALF here. A size 4 gives me blisters and a 5 is too big. Grrr.

Grrrrr 11am to 5pm labs for 4 consecutive days is not great.

I am tooodle-ing off! *yawn*

Right now, I have my big-ass Perloff(Micro textbook) in front of me, preparing myself for Dooms ' Day. AHHHHHHH... Can life be any worse?

4 days till my Economics exam, the module that counts towards my final degree a.k.a 3 hours of torture

10 days till my last paper

14 days till Kelvin comes

16 days till I see my brother

21 days till Prague

6 weeks till Stella Artois =)

7 weeks till Italy

8 weeks till I go home...

it's true...it's true...

I know just the way to liven this blog up!

I'm going to post pictures of the products of my retail therapy! With yours truly as the model of course!

You know, I hate it when people blog about their personal life which should not be publicised. "...he used me. I hated him. But now I've forgiven him...." I mean once or twice is ok. You have to let it out, I understand. But daily?! Get a life. And I also hate it when adults blog as if they're twelve. I mean, even twelve year olds today are mature youth. " like omg, he is like just the bomb...and ewwwwwwww, i cant believe it..." Or how about people who just blog about every single little thing they do after they get up "....so my alarm rang, I woke up, pushed my duvet aside and dragged my feet to the sink. There, I took my toothbrush and squeezed toothpaste out of the toothpaste tube onto the bristles of my pink toothbrush..." ok we get it already.

So today, I am going to tell you about my BOYFRIEND. Yes, I have one and don't look so surprised! Just because I am not such a great catch doesn't mean there's no fish who wants me right. SO like yea, he is so perfect, the whole package, you know. I have to let you guys on about something. Last night, he brought me out for the best date ever! I mean *swoons*!

Ok seriously, if you believed what I said in last paragraph then...well, I am honoured! HAHA.

Oh I didn't mean to cause offense by what I typed. I mentioned the hates because I myself do it. I just wanted to have something to post about wah! yes my life is boring...

Anyways, I was out with Aileen yesterday and I ended up giving myself a treat. It was on sale, you can't blame me for succumbing to it!

It's reversible!!!!!

time's almost up...

3 and a half weeks in, I'm doomed.

a few more days till I am destined on a flight back to doom-dom.

Ok so i am exaggerating much. Just not looking forward to my collections on 18th and 19th of April and definitely not the coming term.

What I am way excited about is the summer after 6th June!

-My eldest sister. Jessie and my Aunt are coming over to visit me. We're flying off to Prague on 16th. Oh yes, Hui or whoever, if you've finished exams by then, do you wanna join us??
-We may go to Paris as well if there's time or the money.
-Then there's the Italy trip with some of the besties!
-And then it's off to China with PeiRu once July beckons. (Shanghai and Shantou to be more precise)

I loveeee travelling and I really hope this summer does not leave me with a need to request an overdraft =s

All thanks to Sanny, four of us (mhui,zim,sanny and I) are going to watch the stella artois finals this year! Oh oh, this is the last year that it will be named stella artois championships coz they've ended their sponsorship contract. In case you're wondering it's tennis I am talking about.

Ok so the reason i am super hyper is because ANDY RODDICK BEAT ROGER FEDERER at the miami Quaterfinals!!! (even if he lost the semis to Davydenko the day after).
